The 'Sons of Anarchy' spin-off will be back for Season 2.
October 1, 2018
FX announced today that Mayans M.C. will be returning for a second season. The good news comes midway through the motorcycle club drama's freshman run, which is off to a solid start since its premiere in early September.
Through its first four episodes, the series has been averaging roughly 2 million overnight viewers, with its premiere episode topping its scripted cable competition in both total viewers and the adults 18-49 demographic.
Taking place in the same universe as Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C. follows former golden boy Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter on the California/Mexico border. Having just recently been released from prison, he is now looking to establish his new identity in his former stomping grounds.
Look for Season 2 of Mayans M.C. in 2019.

I like the show, it slow at first, but will get the pace faster and a lot of action, just like SOA did in the first season. I am not surprise for second season renewal, this mean that a lot SOA fans and Hispanic people are watching this series as well. They may good rating too.

I can't get into this. It's hard to follow.

I'm surprised this got renewed so quickly. I loved SOA but find the characters uninteresting and the plot weak. About half the show is in Spanish. Because I'm not fluent in the language, I have to read the subtitles and this distracts me from the actor's performances. If I want to read so much, I'd prefer a book. (Remember books?)

I wanna like this show I really do. But it’s kinda corny. It does have its moments and I will keep watching. As the show goes on it does get better.

After the way that Suter ended Sons, I am shocked that FX would give this guy a second chance.

Kind of surprised by this. I was a fan of SOA for the first couple seasons. The last couple seasons were virtually unwatchable. The premise of this show is as believable as the last season of SOA. The first episode involved a shootout in a cemetery located in the center of a city. There were several murders involving full auto firearms. after the gun fight, the surviving parties stayed on location, with no fear of the police showing up.
