Netflix announced today that Big Mouth has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes six weeks following the release of the animated comedy's sophomore run. And like in Season 1, reviews have once again been positive all around for its sharp and witty take on the awkwardness of adolescence.
Co-created by actor and comedian Nick Kroll, Big Mouth follows a fictionalized version of himself and his best friend in their teenage years as their lives are getting turned upside down by puberty. With their hormones raging and their bodies doing all sorts of strange things, life has never been so confusing for them and their friends.
The series is part of the growing slate of adult-targeted animated comedies to land on the streaming service, with others like F is for Family, Castlevania, and BoJack Horseman finding similar success with multiple season runs.
Look for Season 3 of Big Mouth in 2019.
