CBS announced today that FBI has been renewed for a second season. The early pickup comes in the midst of the procedural drama's freshman run.
The new series premiered last fall as part of the network's 2018-2019 lineup. After an impressive first few weeks, the network wasted no time in topping up its initial 13-episode run with a back-nine order for a full season's worth of 22.
The show's strong start has made it CBS' #1 new entry in the 2018-2019 season and a Top 10 broadcast series. While it comes up short against This is Us on Tuesdays at 9:00pm, ratings regularly best its other time slot competition.
From creator Dick Wolf, FBI takes an eye-opening look at the inner-workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, including the combination of skills, intellect, and cutting-edge technology used to keep the city and country safe.

Good show, but the liberal slant is getting tired. I'll try to keep watching. Blue Bloods and the Rookie are better shows

FBI is by far my favorite new drama with The Rookie in 2nd for me. I was thrilled to see Missy Peregrym as one of the leads, and then I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I like the whole cast. With so many procedurals limping to their finish lines, it is great to see a strong, new contender.

This is a good reboot of the the 1960's-73 tv show , but updated to today's world. SO this is good news.

I was disappointed with the first couple episodes but I stuck with it and now I find myself enjoying the show. Its a bit PC and tends to swing left pretty far sometimes but its not preachy like Madam Secretary or other similar left leaning shows. All and all its a good show, has relatable current cases most of the time.

Great! I like hearing when shows I watch, and hope is picked up, are picked up for another season.
I know its 'just like the rest' and I wish more like Timeless would keep going, but I like this show, so this is good news!

I came in late. Saw that the lead actress Missy Peregrym is in Van Helsing so binge-watched the first 10 eps. Didn't know it was Dick Wolf but now my wife watches it with me, so very happy to see the renewal.
