The superhero drama will return for Season 2.
April 2, 2019
Netflix announced today that The Umbrella Academy has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes less than two months after the superhero drama released its 10-episode freshman season.
Adapted from the comic book series of the same name from Dark Horse Comics, the show follows a group of estranged siblings with extraordinary superpowers who are reunited after their father's death. But in doing so they discover past family secrets with far-reaching consequences, and must work together to stop an emerging threat to humanity.
Since its February premiere, the series has been met with a generally positive reception for its fun and unique take on the genre. Production on Season 2 is slated to begin this summer, with another 10 episodes on order. Look for a premiere later this year or in early 2020.

This show came highly recommended to The Plopster from a friend at work. I binge watched the whole season in a weekend... Not because I couldn't get enough, but because I just wanted it to be over ASAP. Not very good. It was ok at best. I told my buddy he owes me 10 hours of my life back.

Probably the most overrated show of the year for me. In the weird superhero team style, I enjoy Doom Patrol so much more…
