The superhero drama will end its story in 2023.
August 25, 2022
Netflix announced today that The Umbrella Academy has been renewed for a fourth and final season. The news comes two months following the superhero drama's Season 3 release, which again drew a positive response from both viewers and critics alike.
Adapted from the Dark Horse Comics series of the same name, the show follows a group of estranged siblings with extraordinary superpowers who are reunited after their father's death. But in doing so they discover past family secrets with far-reaching consequences, and must work together to stop an emerging threat to humanity.
"I'm so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings' journey we began five years ago," said creator Steve Blackman. "But before we get to that conclusion, we've got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes."
Look for the final season of The Umbrella Academy sometime in 2023.

I thought this was okay until the last season, the wokeness in the face ruined it for me and I mostly tuned out at that point, but I did check out the last episode. Guess I'll do that for the wrap up to see how it ends.
Too bad they ruined what was a pretty good comic/graphic novel series.

If they had cancelled this show after that cliffhanger in Season 3, no one would have watched another Netflix show ever again. Also, good to know it will get a proper ending.
I see the comments are full of transphobes, as usual...
@Just Keith : Your language reveals your filthy character and little else. It changes nothing for all the trans people out there who are living their lives, oblivious that you exist. I wish Karma births you a trans son or a trans daughter. Lets see if you have the courage of your conviction then...

Change your name if you'd like, but...
Cutting your hooters off doesn't change your DNA.
How you feeeeeeeeel about it doesn't change your DNA.
That's all, 100%, purely in your head.
That's called having a psychological issue.

The woke stuff with Victor was because Ellen Page (now Elliot Page) legit transitioned in real life. So I get why they went there, it was to support their colleague who made a huge life decision. That said, I personally wouldn't change the character description I had in mind just because the cast member decided to transition in real life half way through the show. I would expect them to keep playing the role they signed up for. But I do get it.
The feet thing though. That I don't get. Just put on a pair of shoes you freak! And whatever, if the character likes being barefoot then fine but no need for the camera to constantly zoom in on that nastiness.

Happy to see, since I heard some people were unhappy with the third season. I'm not thrilled with the woke stuff surrounding Victor but the rest was really good and I enjoy most of the characters.

Its not good at all. Someone suggested it to me and I gave it a shot. For some reason I kept watching. I guess I will see how it ends now that season 4 is the last.
Hopefully they stop showing closeups of the gay guy's feet this season. What is that all about anyway? I don't see the point except to gross out the viewers.
Good Ridance!

First couple of episodes were actually pretty good, but by the end of Season 1 it turned to complete garbage. How it got a 2nd season i dont know, let alone a 3rd and now 4th. Good riddance...
