The CW announced today that The 100 will be returning for a seventh season. The pickup is an early one, coming the week ahead of the drama's sixth season premiere. Considered 'on the bubble' for a good part of its lengthy run, the show has proven to have staying power, currently ranking as the network's third-longest-running drama.
Set in a future where the Earth was previously-decimated by nuclear Armageddon, The 100 follows a group of young survivors who are sent back to Earth in a desperate measure to keep the human race alive.
Look for Season 7 of The 100 to premiere in early-to-mid 2020.

Still think this is one of the best Sci-Fi shows on t.v. The writing is excellent, and the cast is amazing! So glad they've given it an early renewal for season 7; that gives the writers a chance to build more long-running storylines! Great news!

Awesome!! Something to look forward to now that Netflix is letting me down. Great cast and I hope this current season produces some good storylines to keep it going for as long as the cast are willing.

Really liked this show the first 3 seasons or so, but then it lost me. On my list to try again at some point.

I never seen this coming. I thought this was done for good. I guess they going to drag 1 more season out what has already gone quite stale in my opinion. Last season didn't not have me hooked.

This is a good show, but it is also one of the grimmest tv shows ever. With the poor earth being destroyed twice.
