The sports drama scores a second season.
April 24, 2019
The CW announced today that All American has been picked up for Season 2. The renewal comes as the network moves to finalize its roster for the 2019-2020 television season, which as of today includes 14 returning scripted series - and no cancellations for any of its freshman shows.
Fans of All American in particular will be breathing a sigh of relief, as the drama was the only newbie from last fall not to be renewed for a second season back in January. While it did receive a small episode top-up in November, the network held out on finalizing its future until today.
Inspired by the life of pro football player Spencer Paysinger, All American follows a model student and rising football player at South Crenshaw High. But even though he lives in Compton, he accepts on offer from Beverly High School to play for their team - leaving him caught between two very different worlds.
Look for Season 2 of All American this fall.

This is the most underrated show right now on prime time television. Personally, this is one of my favorite series right now and can’t wait to see how they explore Season 2. I think that those who liked Friday Night Lights would like this. The only difference is the spin on it being a mix between life in Crenshaw and Beverly Hills rather than small town life.
