No Season 3 for the legal drama.
May 9, 2019
It is being reported that ABC has cancelled For The People. The sad news comes on the same night as the legal drama's penultimate episode, with next week's airing now set to be its series finale.
The show premiered as a mid-season entry in early 2018 under the Shondaland umbrella. Despite mediocre ratings, it received an unexpected renewal for another mid-season run this year. While it's numbers this time around remain close to what they were in Season 1, the series does rank as one of the network's lowest-rated entries, so the cancellation does not come as a complete surprise.
For The People takes place in and around the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Known as The Mother Court, it is home to some of the most high-profile cases in the country. Here, a group of talented young lawyers working on opposite sides of the law spend their days tackling these high-stakes federal cases.

This just in... ABC spokesman reported executives admited to consulting with a shifty corporate mouse named Mickey then canceling one of their highest rated shows this season to stifle the show's writers who challenged Mickey's corporate political agenda.

I am very sad to see that this show has been cancelled. Season two has been excellent. Great storylines and acting. I always looked forward to watching it every week.
Maybe they needed to advertise it more, to bring in more viewers, what a shame. It was a really good, smart , witty legal drama with a great young cast.

Sorry to see this show go. I guess they have to make room for another useless Reality Show...OH, wait another Comedy series with Canned Laughter, so Old School.

As someone stated I didn't really care for season one. Whenever I watched it was really just background noise. But season 2 was great! One of the shows I made sure I watched every week. I bet it was just too hard to bring people back in after season 1.

This show was a different take on legal dramas that was entertaining and engaging. It will be missed.

Too bad !! I think this show was too smart for most people to follow - they would rather watch all the dumb reality shows !!

Enjoyed the show even if it leaned a little left till it jumped the shark on the topic of illegal immigration...the moment they had court officers and federal agents drawing down on one another like it's the old west to paint ICE as the villains was the time I removed it from my DVR schedule.
