No Season 3 for the legal drama.
May 9, 2019
It is being reported that ABC has cancelled For The People. The sad news comes on the same night as the legal drama's penultimate episode, with next week's airing now set to be its series finale.
The show premiered as a mid-season entry in early 2018 under the Shondaland umbrella. Despite mediocre ratings, it received an unexpected renewal for another mid-season run this year. While it's numbers this time around remain close to what they were in Season 1, the series does rank as one of the network's lowest-rated entries, so the cancellation does not come as a complete surprise.
For The People takes place in and around the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Known as The Mother Court, it is home to some of the most high-profile cases in the country. Here, a group of talented young lawyers working on opposite sides of the law spend their days tackling these high-stakes federal cases.

This is the only "Rhonda Show" that I watch. I was hoping that name as well as a great show would give us another season next spring. At least it is an episodic so I can watch individual episodes without feeling like I will be left high and dry. Oh well.
Sad to see this show gone.
