No Season 2 for the mid-season spy dramedy.
May 12, 2019
Word is out that Whiskey Cavalier has been cancelled by ABC after just one season. It wasn't long after the news broke that the show's cast took to social media to express their sadness that Season 2 would not be in the cards.
The spy dramedy premiered in February with a high-profile campaign centered around its big-name stars Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan. While its debut episode drew a decent audience, the show under-performed in the weeks that followed. The show has two episodes left to be aired, with the series finale set for Wednesday, May 22.
Whiskey Cavalier follows tough but tender FBI agent Will Chase, who gets assigned to work with edgy CIA operative Francesca "Frankie" Trowbridge. Together they lead an inter-agency team of spies tackling high-stakes missions, while navigating ups and downs in their personal lives.

Abc does it again. This was one of my favorite shows. But it had mainly older nonteen watchers , so they ax it. Dumb move abc you only have a few shows people watch, at leastagents of sheild is still on for at least this, season.

Yet another reason not to get invested in any Network show..Gets cancelled. And they wonder why No one watches TV anymore?? Why watch a show you know is gone after 1 season? but lets keep the "reality" shows going.

I remember when this show was advertised as the highest rated show of all time on regular non ppv channels. The companies desided to hype the hell out of it and they rip it away from us. Once again corporate hates having anything non reality tv that doesnt involve 1 person date alot of other people just so they can find their "one true love" on tv. How about this cancelle that stupid dateing batchellor/batchelorette show and put the good shows back!!

Writing and chemistry among the crew - are key. Was fun while it lasted. Viewer backlash may help but it has to be big.

I mean really. I knew this show wasn't going to work before it aired.

Pretty much not worth watching ANY network show at this time. Queue them all up and wait for the possible cancellation notice. Not that this show was any good, though. Only worth watching series on Hulu, Netflix, or Amazon - they'll at least stick with series for a full season (or more).

We thoroughly enjoyed the first few episodes, but as soon as the stereotypical team was put together ala CSI and NCIS, there were now too many moving parts. The show should have continued to concentrate on the two lead characters. Just one man’s opinion. Hope to see Maggie back on WD!

Too bad - this was a fun show that could have really taken off as the characters were just starting to find their stride. Another good show yanked too soon...
