No Season 2 for the mid-season spy dramedy.
May 12, 2019
Word is out that Whiskey Cavalier has been cancelled by ABC after just one season. It wasn't long after the news broke that the show's cast took to social media to express their sadness that Season 2 would not be in the cards.
The spy dramedy premiered in February with a high-profile campaign centered around its big-name stars Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan. While its debut episode drew a decent audience, the show under-performed in the weeks that followed. The show has two episodes left to be aired, with the series finale set for Wednesday, May 22.
Whiskey Cavalier follows tough but tender FBI agent Will Chase, who gets assigned to work with edgy CIA operative Francesca "Frankie" Trowbridge. Together they lead an inter-agency team of spies tackling high-stakes missions, while navigating ups and downs in their personal lives.

This show was cleverly neurotic. I enjoyed how different it was and the location shots were something that is very uncommon on series TV. The budget probably wasn't supported by enough viewers. I wish it had been given at least one full season. The writing was quirky and fun. I will miss it.

This sucks. I thought Cohan and Foleys characters had a divorced couple vibe on the show, which was creative. I also liked the rips they made toward each other. Cohan was actually really good as a spy. I hope she gets a 2nd chance at a lead female role. Maybe she can be in the next season of the sinner or in an upcoming marvels series???

I can't believe they cancelled this. Another good one goes down the tubes. Some real idiots work at the Networks!!

I enjoyed the chemistry between the actors and the "tone" of the show; not a new concept and not quite as witty as "Private Eyes"; I will miss Scott and Lauren, so best of luck on your next "adventure"!

Still can’t believe she left TWD for this crapola. Too bad she didn’t have me for an agent.
