No Season 2 for the new drama.
June 4, 2019
It is being reported that Syfy has cancelled Deadly Class after just one season. The news comes a couple of months after the drama's freshman run, which drew mixed reviews and ultimately struggled to find a sizeable audience.
Based on Rick Remender's hit comic series of the same name, Deadly Class follows a disillusioned teenager living on the streets who gets recruited into King's Dominion, a reputed private school for the next generation of assassins. While there, he comes of age while navigating a taxing class schedule and savage cliques, which tests his ability to maintain his moral code.

I agree there have so many shows cancelled on syzygy what’s the point. Beside when it comes to movies like the fifth element they seem to cut scenes out from them as well as the language, they rather show original shows from the past.

thanks, will give it a quick watch then but be prepared for the cliffhanger. seeing as how there's comics to refer to perhaps there's some closure in them.

This show, along with the second season of "Happy!", made me wonder what has gone so seriously wrong at SyFy. It was a complete mess with no redeeming value, not to mention pretentious besides in its take on the '80s.
Apparently SyFy finally discovered that cable shows aren't bound by any FCC regulations on language and violence. As a result, it's like a 13 year-old teen who can't get over the imagined power of saying naughty words as if they are a substitute for real thoughts.

@101 yes, it did end on a cliffhanger.. which sucks because now I really wanna know what happens next.
Anyways.. despite the comments of people disliking it/never watched.. This show was actually pretty decent.

Perhaps this "genre" is just not for me. I watched most, maybe all, the episodes but I lost interest. There were so many characters and none of which I cared if they lived or died.
So much must go into just getting the chance to get a series into production. It's so sorry to only see a series only get one season, but I was not going to be watching a 2nd season of Deadly Class if there was one. Good luck to all cast & crew, however.

Damn this totally sucks. Best new show of the season for me. Loved how the show had the 80's feel and handled it well. Characters were well developed and not annoying like some on TV. Good chemistry, good music, and good action. SyFy just sucks and doesn't seem to care about their viewership since this show was a top 5 show for them. Good thing is it looks like Sony is going to push hard to get it on another network. Hope Netflix picks it up. Well worth the watch.
