Netflix Renews 'The Society'

The new drama will return for Season 2.

Netflix announced today that The Society has been picked up for a second season. The drama premiered in May with a 10-episode freshman run that has been generally well-received by critics. The pickup will surely please fans awaiting word on the show's fate after being left with a cliff-hanger in the season finale.

The series follows a group of teenagers who mysteriously end up in a seemingly-duplicate version of their wealthy New England hometown. With no authority figures around, their newfound freedom could be liberating. But with no way to contact their parents, their situation could also be perilously dangerous. As they all try to get to the bottom of what is happening and how to find their way out, some sort of order must be established if they want to survive.

Look for Season 2 of The Society in 2020.

I just started binging this show and so far, it's not bad. It's kind of like Lord of the Flies meets Lost. The acting is....decent....at times, but I can't stand the main character. Getting put in charge just because her sister was smart and practical was laughable. Especially considering she's nothing like her. The rest of the characters are not quite as annoying but there's not really anyone to root for except for Sam, the deaf guy. He's the only one I kinda like right now. Not sure how season 2 will fare. Guess we'll see.

Mark...the ending was a little irritating especially when Elle spit on Allie. I thought for sure she was going for help, but sadly nothing. I like the show though.

Is that what the whole show is? rampant man bashing? lol. anyways. watch fauda, or stranger things or lost in space. no man bashing, wait , june does act like a mean witch to john at first in lost in space. ( he abandoned the family somewhat for his career and now wants back in.) but she comes around. lol.

It's Netflix.. they renew EVERYTHING so they all get 2 seasons minimum .... except GirlBoss... regardless of how good or bad the series may be
