No Season 3 for the Superman prequel.
August 16, 2019
It is being reported that Krypton has been cancelled by Syfy after two seasons. The sad news comes just two days after the drama's sophomore finale, which now acts as its series ender.
The Superman prequel premiered last year with a 10-episode run that, despite mixed reviews, fared well for the cable network. Ratings in Season 2 did not fare as well, however, dropping in numbers by almost half.
Set on the titular planet 200 years before the birth of Kal-El, aka Superman, Krypton follows his grandfather Seg-El. He is the son of a disgraced scientist whose time travel research has cost the family their standing in society. With the House of El having fallen from grace, a power struggle ignites between the planet's elite classes. Things get worse when a hero arrives from the future with bad news regarding the family's bloodline.

In her tweets, Wallis Day (Nyssa) hinted S02 would be the last. The cast probably knew months ago and kept the audience interest. Elementary series ended well.

NO, I liked this very much, and it ended with a end of the season 2 storyline. However it has a set up for season three. The show was good sci fi and for comic book fans a good watch.

Well bummer. Did it end on a cliffhanger? I’m only two episodes in this season

Actually season 2 was as good (or as bad depending on your opinion of the show in general) as season 1. I wasn't that interested in the show's storylines (wars, etc.) as much I was in the characters and their uniqueness. I probably won't miss the show that much although I would have kept watching had it been renewed. Farewell, Krypton.

What is going on with SyFy. So now the only show left on in their top 5 for viewership is "The Magicians". This is ridiculous why they're cancelling their top shows. Obviously they don't want viewers. The second season was even better than the first and this makes no sense. Guess it will give them more money to put garbage movies like Sharknado,Killer Shark vs 3 headed Octopus, etc. This is ridiculous.
