No Season 3 for the Superman prequel.

It is being reported that Krypton has been cancelled by Syfy after two seasons. The sad news comes just two days after the drama's sophomore finale, which now acts as its series ender.
The Superman prequel premiered last year with a 10-episode run that, despite mixed reviews, fared well for the cable network. Ratings in Season 2 did not fare as well, however, dropping in numbers by almost half.
Set on the titular planet 200 years before the birth of Kal-El, aka Superman, Krypton follows his grandfather Seg-El. He is the son of a disgraced scientist whose time travel research has cost the family their standing in society. With the House of El having fallen from grace, a power struggle ignites between the planet's elite classes. Things get worse when a hero arrives from the future with bad news regarding the family's bloodline.
What I feel above all is gratitude. I spent 3 years living an impossible dream. I will always be a proud son of Krypton.

Having to go to other networks for good sci-fi is weird though. Why are they still named SyFy? Does no one over there have a vision?
Maybe it was too expensive. They had some serious VFX in there done by the top studios.
