The sci-fi drama will continue in 2020-2021.
January 7, 2020
The CW announced today that Roswell, New Mexico has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes early, as the sci-fi drama won't be returning for its already-ordered sophomore run until March.
The series premiered last January as a mid-season entry with somewhat of a familiar name. It is the second TV-adapted series of the 'Roswell High' book series by Melinda Metz; the first being 1999s Roswell, which ran for three seasons on The WB and UPN networks.
Roswell, New Mexico follows jaded biomedical researcher Liz Ortecho, who has recently returned to her hometown and reconnected with her high school crush Max. But Liz is surprised to learn that Max and his siblings are aliens who have spent their lives hiding their otherworldly abilities. And as they grow closer to, it gets harder for Liz to keep the truth from others. But concealing the siblings' true identities is crucial, as a long-running government conspiracy and the politics of fear and hatred put their lives at risk.
Look for Season 3 of Roswell, New Mexico as part of the 2020-2021 TV season.

This is written after watching the show season 2, this show should've been cancelled, became extremely political and racist in season 2 and made a HUGE mistake of creating a storyline that takes the major character out of most of show and leaves them with practically cameo performance. At first I loved how diverse the show was on the reboot, having a gay character, black maria, Spanish/Mexican Liz and white Max and Isobel made for a great well balanced show, than what happened in season two??? There was literally dialogue about the wall between US and Mexico, Wtf??? This is a tv show not a political platform for liberals, this coronavirus has proven that the wall is necessary and calling Americans racist for border security is just wrong!! Why don't these celebrities go after the president of Mexico that allows these cartels to take over their country?? Mexicans deserve respect and hollywood is causing bias against them. They deserve better and shouldn't have to live the way they do and making our door wider does not solve their problem!!
