Fox announced today that 9-1-1: Lone Star has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes the month after the drama's freshman run, which ran for 10 episodes as a mid-season entry.
The hour-long series premiered in January as a spin-off of the successful first responder drama 9-1-1. It has been generally well-received critically and performed solidly on Monday nights.
9-1-1: Lone Star follows a New York firefighter who leaves his job in the Big Apple and relocates to Austin, TX along with his son. There he focuses on balancing the duties of helping the people who need it with solving the problems in his personal life.
Look for Season 2 of 9-1-1: Lone Star later this year or in early 2021.
