Fox announced today that 9-1-1: Lone Star has been picked up for a fourth season. The good news comes ahead of tonight's midseason finale, which wraps another successful run that was the drama's longest yet at 18 episodes.

The hour-long series premiered in 2020 as a spin-off of the successful first responder drama 9-1-1, which has not yet been formally renewed but is expected to return. The show has been generally well-received critically and now ranks as one of the network's top-performing original scripted series.

9-1-1: Lone Star follows a New York firefighter who leaves his job in the Big Apple and relocates to Austin, TX along with his son. There he focuses on balancing the duties of helping the people who need it with solving the problems in his personal life.
