No Season 2 for the drama reboot.

It is being reported that Freeform has cancelled Party of Five after just one season. The sad news comes less than two months after the family drama finished its 10-episode freshman outing.
The show was a reboot of the acclaimed 1990s Fox series of the same name that ran for six seasons. Structured in a similar manner with a modern-day take on its family situation, the new Party of Five received generally-positive reviews, but like the original, suffered from lacklustre ratings.
The series follows a family of five children as they deal with life's daily struggles after their parents are unexpectedly deported to Mexico. Left to fend for themselves the moment they said goodbye to their mother and father at an immigration detention center, the kids must fight through adversity and find a way to function as a family unit.

To be honest I liked it. It was different from the original. The actors were good and the storyline was intrigued. I’m disappointed!

@Kimberly K: It just might be picked up by someone I am not sure what the longest reboot has been so far, but any extra episodes to me are a bonus. All we can do is stay tuned for what comes next.

Bummer.I, for one, was interested in this show because I used to watch the original. I didn't get to check this one out yet though, and now that it's cancelled I guess I won't need to start catching up.

Wow, there are some heartless people out there. No wonder there are so many race/hate crimes lately, there are so many ignorant people thinking they are being funny. The hate is disgusting and show your lack of class.

When people dump on shows that don't make the ratings, it usually says more about the poster than it does the quality of the show. I may have a predisposed point of view or taste, but I feel like I can at least watch something with an open mind

Why do they keep trying these "revivals"?? They almost never last. This show could have stood on its own but of course people gave it no chance because of the name. Fingers cross another station picks it up. It happened with One day at a time.
