No Season 2 for the drama reboot.
April 17, 2020
It is being reported that Freeform has cancelled Party of Five after just one season. The sad news comes less than two months after the family drama finished its 10-episode freshman outing.
The show was a reboot of the acclaimed 1990s Fox series of the same name that ran for six seasons. Structured in a similar manner with a modern-day take on its family situation, the new Party of Five received generally-positive reviews, but like the original, suffered from lacklustre ratings.
The series follows a family of five children as they deal with life's daily struggles after their parents are unexpectedly deported to Mexico. Left to fend for themselves the moment they said goodbye to their mother and father at an immigration detention center, the kids must fight through adversity and find a way to function as a family unit.

Always sad to see tv shows go but I personally think it's sad when they do. The haters of the given show come out and dump on it here. I don't like some shows myself but I don't believe in cheering there ends. They had there fans and I can respect that

So many of our favorite shows get cancelled these days without us even knowing about it. Our aim is to bring you all the relevant information related to the status of television shows - whether they're on a broadcast network, cable, or a streaming service.

If you have any negative to say about the show, there is someone who will pretend to be you saying the exact opposite. They are very threatened by "white" males apparently. I have a 27 year old cousin who is just like that. He has multiple Facebook accounts and if someone says something he does not agree with he will Troll them on all of his fake accounts. Then again my cousin is Autistic. Maybe this poor fella is too.
Just wait. You'll see someone pretend to be me. Blaming my comment on being "White" when in fact I am a Legal Hispanic American who actually thought the show was all in all Good. I was hoping for another season.

@Be Careful Beth : I don't need you to tell me to "be careful," because for all I know YOU'RE the one pretending.I don't know why you'd even bring up having an autistic cousin in the first place, but everyone has their own opinion about what television they choose to watch.

I was hoping for another season of the show, and I am indeed pretending to be a "Hispanic" male, and for that I apologize. I don't have an autistic cousin. But in the end, we all know who is who, and who is "pretending."

Unfortunately the description of the show is going to cause a lot of people not to even view it. This is a hollywood social agenda and people are sick of it. Why couldn't it just be a mexican family where parents died? Why do they have to be deported? I'm sorry that there are people suffering in mexico but the US has made it our problem for decades. Illegal is illegal. Since covid19 arose I now have a great appreciation for our border protection and support the wall being built. It needed to be done. I'm not heartless though, my heart goes out to the families suffering in mexico that can't get help from their own president. I hope these drug cartels are deeply hurt by the lockdown!!

Why do all the good shows get cancelled? I really enjoyed this show and was really looking forward to seeing what happens in season 2! I honestly don't know why new shows are even made anymore, they just get people sucked in then get cancelled anyway!
