No Season 2 for the drama reboot.
April 17, 2020
It is being reported that Freeform has cancelled Party of Five after just one season. The sad news comes less than two months after the family drama finished its 10-episode freshman outing.
The show was a reboot of the acclaimed 1990s Fox series of the same name that ran for six seasons. Structured in a similar manner with a modern-day take on its family situation, the new Party of Five received generally-positive reviews, but like the original, suffered from lacklustre ratings.
The series follows a family of five children as they deal with life's daily struggles after their parents are unexpectedly deported to Mexico. Left to fend for themselves the moment they said goodbye to their mother and father at an immigration detention center, the kids must fight through adversity and find a way to function as a family unit.

I should clarify and admit that Party of Five seemed to show promise when I first sat down to watch. Iactually get upset when I feel Hollywood portrays something that I disagree with.

Actually I should clarify and admit that I had no earthly idea the show was going to be off the air after one season anymore than any of the other shows that were cancelled after as single season. I just don't like the idea of inequities being put on screen if it threatens me as a white male. I bring up SJW because it's a term I guess I am just used to parroting. White America is sick of hearing about minority issues. TV is for pretending those issues don't exist, not for agendas except my own.

Party of "PC" was doomed to fail the second it was green lit. Hollywood is just getting more and more pathetic with its SJW programing and they hav eno clue that the public is sick of it. TV is for escape, not agendas.

To be honest I liked it. It was different from the original. The actors were good and the storyline was intrigued. I’m disappointed! Was hoping for it to be renewed

This show could've stood on its own with its own title instead of using the Party of Five title. A lot of these reboots are an insult to the original, like Charmed.

I’m a little disappointed- really liked the reboot and the characters. They should of gave it second season. Now a days there quick to cancel everything that’s why no one wants to invest in a show anymore..

Just make something original and that way people won't compare it to something else and be disappointed.

Some reboots do okay. Charmed seems to be doing well and also Roswell. It just depends on the writing.
