The drama will continue in 2020-2021.

ABC announced today that A Million Little Things has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes just under two months following the drama's sophomore run.
The hour-long series has proven to be a reliable performer for the network. While its critical reception is mixed, viewership numbers are consistently solid.
A Million Little Things follows a group of Boston friends who have known each other for 10 years since unexpected circumstances brought them together. Since then, they have all ended up feeling stuck in their lives for better or worse. After one of them unexpectedly passes away, it acts as a wake-up call for the others in the group to finally start living their lives to the fullest.
Look for Season 3 as part of the 2020-2021 season.

I really like the show and will continue to watch as long as James Roday is in but would like to see some better writing for next season, was really slow paced this season and the baby drama storyline was just silly, it happens in every tv show, nothing original there.

I watch the show the first season was ok and I wondered where they would go with it, but I don't know. But @Steve after reading your comment it makes sense now it's a like an old school Dallas or Knots Landing without as much of the backstabbing and scheming as back in the day. More of like a updated woke family version, but yes still a soap. I couldn't put my finger on it until now.

This show is pure soap. That's not necessarily a bad thing (cf. "This is Us"). Sometimes this show is done well but after awhile it just becomes unbelievable.

...lost interest about half way thru the second season. There was far too much attention paid to the character "Gary".
