It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Indebted after one season. The sad news comes two months after the comedy wrapped its freshman run. The show was a mid-season entry but gained little ratings traction on Thursday nights. Critics were not too keen on it either.
Indebted followed young parents Dave and Rebecca, who are looking forward to reclaiming their life after years of raising their kids. But when Dave's folks show up unexpectedly, claiming to be broke after mismanaging their savings, him and Rebecca open the door to help them out in their time of need.

MoeB, don't give them any ideas. I can just see them trying to do a "woker" version of Diff'Rent Strokes.

I'm surprised they didn't yank it after the 3rd episode....

I didn't mind it. It was far better than Broke, but still a pretty bad show.

This wasn’t a ground breaking show, but I thought it was entertaining enough that I watched every episode. But you’re right, no surprise.

It wasn’t that good, but, I still watched the whole season, since it was available on Hulu

You just can't bring back the 80's no matter how much you may want to. What's next they'll make a another show with minority children being raised by rich white people? Again.

I don't think this is gonna surprise anyone…
