The comedy will not return for a second season.
June 15, 2020
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Indebted after one season. The sad news comes two months after the comedy wrapped its freshman run. The show was a mid-season entry but gained little ratings traction on Thursday nights. Critics were not too keen on it either.
Indebted followed young parents Dave and Rebecca, who are looking forward to reclaiming their life after years of raising their kids. But when Dave's folks show up unexpectedly, claiming to be broke after mismanaging their savings, him and Rebecca open the door to help them out in their time of need.

The only good thing about this show was the jobs it created for the support staff. The sister was okay.

I actually hope they DO a reboot of Diff'rent Strokes. I actually loved the show, and hope to see more programming just like it.
Sorry Moe B, but I ended up re thinking things.

VERY typical Dresher show.. hack writing, stupid premise, NOTHING original, and NOTHING funny. Isn't Pauly actually gay? That may account for why there was ZERO chemistry between him and the wife.

@Clint Barton They can have a show where parent's of the same race adopt a kid of their own and call it Diff'Rent Strokes?

I love Steven Weber, but even he couldn’t save this show,

I wanted to like it more than I did. I’m a big fan of the main 4 leads (especially Adam Pally), and Dany Levy is fantastic, but the show just didn’t completely land for me.

this show really sucked, to bad, I really like Adam Pally but I can't stand Fran Drescher, who told her she could act, stinky!!
