No Season 3 for the Jim Carrey dramedy.
July 14, 2020
It is being reported that Showtime has cancelled Kidding after two seasons. The sad news comes four months after the dramedy's sophomore run.
The Jim Carrey-led series was never a huge ratings draw for the cable network, though it fared reasonably well critically. Its now series finale on March 8 managed to conclude the ongoing storyline, though it did leave things open enough for a potential third season.
Kidding is Carrey's first-ever lead role in a television series. His last time as a TV regular was a cast member of the '90s sketch comedy series In Living Color. In Kidding, Carrey stars as a kind-hearted man named Jeff who has become a beacon of hope and wisdom to kids across American in his role as Mr. Pickles, an icon of children's television and anchor of a successful branding empire. But when family issues begin to take over his life, Jeff's sanity hangs in the balance while coping with the crisis.

Loved season 1 and season 2 was also great and would have loved to see where season 3 would of gone.

I think season one was really good, season two fell flat and not as compelling.

It doesn't matter how good a show is, if no one wants to watch it...

This was one of the the best heartfelt show that has ever come out in the last 15 years on TV. If you didn't like this, it is obvious it is too smart of a show for you and is over your head. It is absolutely touching, wonderfully strange and cool all the same time. Jim Carry's performance in it is absolutely brilliant in every way. Ratings be damned... Showtime what a BIG mistake you are making by cancelling this amazing one of a kind show.
