The network has reversed its original renewal.

It is being reported that ABC has cancelled Stumptown after one season - walking back its original decision to renew the series back in May. The sad news is the latest in a recent trend of networks reversing renewals months after handing them out.
The drama premiered last fall and put in a decent showing during its 18-episode run, garnerning strong critical praise and respectable ratings on Wednesday nights. It appears ABC's decision is related to setbacks in filming due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has affected the futures of numerous shows this year.
Based on the Stumptown graphic novels, the series stars Cobie Smulders as Dex Parios, a less-than-perfect army veteran living in Portland, Oregon. She's quick-witted, carries a gambling debt, has a complicated love life, and takes care of her brother. She utilizes her military intelligence in her job as a private investigator, but her unapologetic nature makes her a target of dangerous criminals and often at odds with the local police.

I have actually been going back and hunting for shows of any age that aired 3 years or longer. One show I happened upon that is shockingly time appropriate is Any Day Now with Annie Potts and Lorraine Toussant. It airs on the Start network and has a warning before every episode that is may be offensive to some people because it is very open about racial inequality. I'd never heard of it, but I'm thrilled that I found it.
Too bad there isn't a board somewhere recommending older shows with at least 3 years on the air. For now I'll just keep digging through old shows as well as British, Aussie, Canadian, and New Zealand shows. There is a lot of good stuff out there if you dig...
I wasn’t calling you an asshat . I was telling the person who was telling you rude things abuse your daughter, and calling you both liars an asshat . Lol but ok .
