No Season 2 for the soapy drama.

It is being reported that Fox has cancelled Filthy Rich after just one season. The sad news comes five episodes into the drama's 10-episode run. The show's remaining five episodes are still slated to air as planned.
The hour-long series premiered in late September after a bit of a bumpy road making it to air. It was originally supposed to debut last Fall but was pushed to the Spring due to scheduling conflicts. Then when the coronavirus pandemic hit, the network pushed it again to this Fall in order to fill gaps in their lineup.
Filthy Rich follows the Monreaux family, who are the founders of the popular Christian TV station known as the Sunshine Network. When the patriarch of the family dies in a plane crash, his dirty secrets come to light and forces his wife to deal with the fact that the man she loved fathered three illegitimate children, who were all written into his will. This threatens their family name and fortune - and they will do whatever it takes to hold on to what is rightfully theirs.

I absolutely love this show, and deeply hoped and prayed it wouldn't get cancelled! I think it's fabulous. Its pure fun - total guilty pleasure. I think its written very very well. So that the characters are both outrageous and complex. I thought it was great. Once again, they cancel the good ones. Please reconsider. Its been so much fun during a serious dry spell. I have no idea how the executives make these decisions.

Horrible show... far too much religion for the non-religious and far too defamatory towards religion for the Jesus freaks. Just viewing the social landscape it's clear that most entertainment needs to pick a side. This country is now full of zealots which are no longer willing to tolerate differing opinions.

I really enjoyed this show and it’s unfortunate but it’s sad to say I’m use to seeing all my shows that I like cancel. I hope someone picks up the show. I thought it was cool to have a show to watch after Empire ended. Great cast. Very disappointed FOX.

Whelp they officially gave it a chance. Only a troll would say they didn't. Don't think it came out at a good time.

I liked it. Wasn't the greatest but it was enjoyable. Thought they would tighten the storylines up down the road. Sad its gone but 2 weeks ago I was looking at the ratings and I had a feeling it was done.

I gave up halfway through episode 3. Strange programme.

The plot was all over the place, and the characters were too ambivalent for such a campy premise. It was funny in parts, but it wasn't funny enough. If there wasn't a content shortage, I doubt this would have made it to air without a major overhaul.

Didn't this show just start.
Why should I invest my time in a show that will get cancelled the week after it premiers.

Kind of a time waster anyway.

This was a wanna be “The Righteous Gemstones” on HBO, but it was not.
