No Season 5 for the pot comedy.
January 14, 2021
It is being reported that HBO has cancelled High Maintenance after four seasons. The sad news comes five months after the critically-acclaimed comedy aired its now-final episode last April.
The half-hour series follows a New York weed deliveryman, known as The Guy, and his eccentric customers in the boroughs around the Big Apple. Created by Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair, the show got its start as a web series in 2012 that lasted through 2015. Blichfeld and Sinclair continued to run the show on HBO, including writing and directing some episodes.

Show was FANTASTIC in 11min web-isodes.. then HBO bought it and extended episodes to 30 minutes. Rather than sticking to what worked and merely writing two 11-15 stories for each episode, the writers (and star) tried to write 30 minute stories and it fell completely apart. Each HBO episode is just chock full of boring "filler" that is completely unnecessary and makes watching borderline painful. Rather than comedic stories of deliveries.. they tried to create a episodic story arc and blew it completely. The writing for this show CLEARLY rose to the level of its incompetence here.

@ Tim. Totally on point. One of the most amazing aspects of this show, was how it highlighted, American diversity. When you tuned in each week, you never knew what to expect. This show will be missed.

This show "delivered" everything it needed to a while ago. Should have gone out on a "high" point.
