'Year Of The Rabbit' Cancelled At IFC

No Season 2 for the British comedy.

Roughly 11 months after Year of the Rabbit was picked up for a second season, it appears the decision has been reversed. The UK's Channel 4, which co-produces the series, has opted not to go forward with Season 2.

For its part, IFC - which airs the comedy in the US - is still on-board for a potential second season should they be able to find another partner. So there may still be hope for the show to continue, though no potential suitors have been mentioned at this point.

Year of the Rabbit follows tough veteran Detective Inspector Eli Rabbit, who teams up with two inexperienced partners to investigate murder trials in Victorian London. But their job gets more intriguing when they discover an ancient secret society that has resurfaced and is causing mayhem around the city.

This was amusing... mostly due to the misogyny and other "era appropriate" attitudes... not really surprising it may get the axe in this over-the-top-politically-correct world.

IFC is still a channel? I’ve largely ignored it since they stopped being the Independent Film Channel.

Hopefully IFC will find a new partner. Matt Berry is quite funny.
