The animated revival receives an early pickup.

Hulu announced today that Animaniacs has been renewed for a third season. The good news comes early, as it has been only three months since the revived animated series released its freshman run.
The show debuted in November with a 13-episode run that garnered generally positive praise from critics. It also appears to have found a sizeable audience, as it had more social media mentions than any of Hulu's other original programming during its opening weekend.
The half-hour series follows the Warner siblings - Yakko, Wakko, and their sister Dot - who love to wreak havoc on the lives of everybody they meet. After returning to their beloved home in the Warner Bros. water tower, the trio are ready to once again cause chaos and confusion as they run loose through the studio, using the world as their own personal playground.
Season 2 of Animaniacs is expected to premiere sometime this year. There is no word on a release time frame for Season 3, but 2022 appears likely.
