Paramount+ has announced that a revival of iCarly is headed to the streaming service in 2021. The news will see the beloved Nickelodeon sitcom return to television roughly nine years after it ended its original run.
iCarly started out in 2007 and became Nickelodeon's top-rated live-action series among total viewers and key youth demographics. The series starred Miranda Cosgrove as the star of a webcast who, along with her friend Sam, deals with common issues faced by kids their age.
The new version of the show, which will surely appeal to an older audience, is set to include Cosgrove along with original cast members Jerry Trainor, who played Spencer, and Nathan Kress, who played Freddie.
Great news for @iCarly nation: a revival of the beloved @Nickelodeon series is coming to #ParamountPlus in 2021.
