No Season 2 for the Erin Brockovich-inspired drama.
May 14, 2021
It is being reported that ABC has cancelled Rebel after just one season. The sad news comes five episodes into the drama's freshman run, which has garnered mixed reviews while struggling to find a sizeable audience.
Inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich, the hour-long series follows Annie 'Rebel' Bello, a legal advocate working without a law degree. She's brilliant, messy, and fearless - and cares deeply about the causes she believes in and the people she loves. When Rebel dedicates herself to a fight she believes in, she makes it her mission to win at almost any cost.
Rebel still has five episodes remaining before it finishes out season. The shows series finale should air in mid-to-late June.

Seriously?!?! One of the best new dramas on tv. As someone else noted, crap like Debris and well, pretty much any “reality” show are staying on? I’ve resisted doing the switch to Netflix, Hulu, etc for a long time but if the major networks are just going to give us junk and take down the good things, I’m done. 19 seasons of Greys?? I still like it but come on...Bring back GCB, that was a show!! And you’ve canceled American Housewife too?!?! There is nothing left on ABC for me to watch. I’ll probably watch Greys for one more season but end it already. You have made a very big mistake with Rebel. Top notch cast, great writing and just a damn good show. So disappointed

Ok… It was like watching a very long Erin Brockovich movie but canceled???
Good acting. Not the normal storyline. Was so looking forward to see where this show would take me.
5 episodes… during a pandemic and done? Really ABC? Living up to your name “Always Being Canceled”
Well I guess utter garbage like Manifest and Debris can stay on. Maybe if this was on NBC it wouldn’t have gotten the ax so fast.
