Canada's CBC has announced that Coroner has been picked up for a fourth season. The drama, which airs on The CW for US audiences, will return to televisions up north for the 2021-2022 season with 12 new episodes.
For stateside viewers, Season 3 of the series doesn't premiere until August, and it will likely be sometime until The CW confirms if it will continue to air Season 4 next year.
The hour-long procedural follows mother and recent widow Dr. Jenny Cooper, who has just been appointed coroner in Toronto, tasked with investigating suspicious, sudden, or unnatural deaths. With help from a homicide detective, a pathologist, and her assistant, Jenny utilizes her intuition and intellect to solve tough cases.
Are you sitting down? No? Well, we've got some news. We are back next winter for Season 4 - and here's the cherry on top, we've got 12 episodes coming your way! A huge thanks to our fans for making this possible! #CoronerCBC πππ€ pic.twitter.com/lyX9nqlc9C
