The fantasy drama will return for Season 2.
June 7, 2021
Netflix announced today that Shadow and Bone has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes less than two months after the fantasy drama released its 8-episode freshman run, which garnered positive critical feedback while being viewed by over 55 million subscriber households within its first 28 days.
Based on Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse novels, the series takes place in a land divided by a barrier of perpetual darkness. There, sinister forces plot against a young female soldier who is revealed to have a magical power that could save her country from evil and unite her world.
Look for Season 2 of Shadow and Bone in 2022.

Awesome news! I am all for season 2....and 3...and maybe more but this is Netflix, so one has to be careful expecting more than 3 seasons of anything. Just imagine if Game was Thrones was at Netflix, lol...not that season 8 was anything to write home about...

Are you saying this show has a woke agenda because non white people are in it? Or what? It’s just a fantasy show y’all are so crazy in these comments sometimes

I did not see a woke agenda. wokism is like critical racist theory and obama saying every person killed by a cop is wrong. if it had a gay character that is not wokism.

Characters were 2-dimentional.
Get rid of the BS woke agenda.
Story line was a bit predictable.
I do like the steam-punk angle.

Let's see if it can withstand the rule of 3... (3 seasons and Netflix cancels whether it's still liked or not)
