The animated series will conclude with a shortened run.
July 15, 2021
Disney Channel's The Owl House will be coming to an end after its third season. The animated fantasy-comedy was quietly picked up for Season 3 back in May, and creator Dana Terrace later clarified that it will be its last.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, Terrace not only confirmed that the show will be ending, but also that the shortened order it received was less than she expected. Per reports, Season 3 of The Owl House will consist of three 44-minute specials.
For now though, fans still have more Owl House to look forward to. The first half of Season 2 is currently airing on Saturdays through mid-August. The second half will then return with 11 more episodes at a date yet-to-be-determined.
The third and final season of The Owl House will likely air in 2022.

The owl house was on popular section for a while, so I think that Disney just decided that this was just not the 'ideal show they wanted to produce. One of the only shows with a actual plot unlike big city greens or amphibia, who streamed to the end when they ran out of ideas. I think Disney has clout against the owl house, no doubt in my opinion

I really hate that the owl house is ending after season 3. I wish it could be renewed for season 4

I just wanna say this probably isn't the only reason, disney in my opinion is being homophobic as soon as lumity became canon. They don't care if the show was popular, they don't want to represent anyone.

Nice Meltdown Brenda Anderson -- The reason it was cancelled is no one was watching it. It was one of Disney+ lowest viewed shows. Claiming Disney is non-Alphabet friendly is laughable, since every Disney show has more Alphabet characters on them then a Ryan Murphy Christmas Special.

It's a damn shame. Disney finally took a risk with this series, only to get cold feet in the 11th hour. Aside from it being a great show, I get additional enjoyment from the explosion of happiness that follows on social media after each episode. The posts, the fan art, the videos--it's all infectious and easily puts you in a good mood.
