Disney Channel's The Owl House will be coming to an end after its third season. The animated fantasy-comedy was quietly picked up for Season 3 back in May, and creator Dana Terrace later clarified that it will be its last.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, Terrace not only confirmed that the show will be ending, but also that the shortened order it received was less than she expected. Per reports, Season 3 of The Owl House will consist of three 44-minute specials.
For now though, fans still have more Owl House to look forward to. The first half of Season 2 is currently airing on Saturdays through mid-August. The second half will then return with 11 more episodes at a date yet-to-be-determined.
The third and final season of The Owl House will likely air in 2022.

owl house is the best show ever it cannot be canceled because every Gravity Falls person love it even I love it my siblings love it to we watch it every day and we're,13,1,8,7,3 we love owl house and this is not fair

Honestly I really think Disney is just being and absolute coward the fact that Lumity became canon is really striking them to being homophobic but also since Lumity became canon it made me and many other people happy but all I gotta say is that Disney is being a huge coward.

It is a shame to see it go, it was a really nice show and I wish people watched this more. Maybe we can hope for shorts? Maybe even a revival after pandemic? My guess is they didnt have enough budget, and even though it was really popular it didnt have enough money. Maybe when Disney reopens when there isnt a virus we get atleast shorts.

Jesus guys, Disney isnt being homophobic you guys are just over reacting. Do you realize how hard it is to make a 2 season show on 24 fps? 24 FRAMES PER SECOND. How is disney even being homophobic? Just because youre not grtting what you want doesnt mean you make an excuse to throw a tantrum, you guys are really dumb and stupid for beleiving this. Lemme guess you guys think DreamGender is a thing, and they're being oppressed. You guys are just a bunch of 12 year olds not thinking about the whole picture and being stupid enough to believe anything.

I stumbled across The Owl House 3 days ago and just finished binge-watching the first two seasons. Loved it! Heartwarming, funny and clever. I especially liked Eda's sardonic and sarcastic humor. I wish the show had not been cancelled.

it's such a shame this show came to such a short ending, I would love for more episodes other than 3 special's, this was my favorite show for awhile and it pains me to see it go, the animation, the drawings, the plot, is everything and even though it ended so quickly I'm still going to keep watching it because I love the characters and everything about this show and yet it's still hard not being able to see more than what we got at least we got something it could've ended at season 2 for all disney cares, so we should be thankful that we get more owl house and love it while it lasts.

Aethn, while Brenda certainly over reacted, why are you looking at this if you don't think it deserves more? Plus it was ending on Season 3 anyway, why cut the run time, plus they never gave an official reason. Well I don't think that it's from homophobia, it's a pattern we've seen in Disney and other corporations. Also what Disney queer characters are you talking about? Also alphabet seems a bit dehumanizing to the LGBTQA+ community, don't you think?
