August 9, 2021
HGTV announced today that Home Town has been renewed for a sixth season. The news comes on the heels of an impressive outing in its last season, which garnered a healthy 32 million viewers.
The series follows renovation experts and married couple Erin and Ben Napier, who find historical Mississippi homes and give them modern and affordable makeovers. Using found materials and old textiles, they aim to keep the character of the homes while updating certain aspects that need an imaginative touch.
Season 6 of Home Town will consist of 20 new episodes, and will begin airing in early 2022.

While her decorating style can be a bit holly hobby for me the Napiers come across as genuine people unlike Chip and Joanna Gaines who come across as completely fake and she is probably pretty nasty in person. Joanna Gaines seems like the type of person who would invite you over for a party and if you overstay your welcome she would give her husband the stink eye until he asks you to leave.

Ben Napier is a absolute Master Craftsman, hes like the MacGyver of Wood !! He takes rotten, stained, cracked, debris materials and salvages them to make absolutely magnificent Family Heirloom Quality furniture and household treasures.
As a 41 year Master Carpenter myself who has built hundreds of homes, dozens of them being multi million dollar Super Luxury Customs all over Lake Tahoe, I can say I have met very few, if anyone with his skill and expertise. I would hire him to run one of our jobs in an instant.

This show is one of my favorite next to property brothers. I love the wood work and I am jealous that I don't have any space to do wood working, it really is a great and rewarding activity. I hope they get more seasons and would even like to see other shows that do what they do.
