The streaming comedy will return for Season 2.
September 2, 2021
BET+ announced today that The Ms. Pat Show has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes three weeks after the comedy released its 10-episode freshman run on the streaming service.
Based on comedian Ms. Pat's stand-up material, the series follows the titular character, who grew up on the streets of Atlanta but now finds herself living in conservative middle America. She spends her days as a reluctant suburban mother alongside her penny-pinching husband and two sets of kids brought up under different circumstances.

I cannot find ratings for BET although it was surpassed by OWN in 2018. BET was founded by Robert Johnson in the ’80s and in 2003, BET was sold to Viacom. Johnson one of the first black billionaires.
My viewing habits are black in that Neilson has said blacks watch something like 30% more TV. This may be what makes the black networks viable (I believe Magic Johnson has one). This doesn't mean that blacks favor them.
There are many African Americans who dislike BET and say the worst things about it. Unfortunately we all have a tendency to jump to conclusions all the time without knowing the whole story. This includes me and you.

It's likely very few people that are bothering to vote stuff down on BET that they haven't seen. I wouldn't infer anything from that. The average show anywhere may look bad for most people anyway for all kinds of reasons. BET has little reality, talk shows, and soap operas which is good in my book. However, I would prefer a little more diversity although I don't watch household type comedies on any network. How is BET doing ratings-wise? Does it need a makeover? Superheroes? (no on that one). I used to get BET but it's not included in my streaming package. Mostly, I watched an occasional movie and not much else.
Would love to hear more reviews or about the good programming that people like. Commenting on all of BET might be hard for someone to do since we regularly only slam most networks and services. Frankly, most of them suck :)

It's not me. Almost nobody ever gives a review for anything on BET.
Where's your reviews?

Seems like anything no matter what series it is always gets less than 2/5 on this site if it's anything related to something on BET. It could seriously be a 10/10 series on another network but as soon as BET is listed on the subject line people take shots at it. Kind of SUS... @_@
