No Season 2 for the holiday dramedy.
October 6, 2021
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled Dash & Lily after one season. The news comes nearly a year after the holiday-themed dramedy released its eight-episode freshman run.
Based on the bestselling book series, the show follows two very different people: Dash, who's a cynic, and Lily, who's an optimist. But they find out that opposites really do attract as they trade messages and dares in a red notebook they pass between them around New York City during the holiday season.

Honestly, this show didn't really need a season 2. The whole premise of the show was that they wrote to each other through Lily's notebook and now they met. Lily was likely to stay in NY and they could hang out like normal people. There wasn't really much to look forward to, the story was told all the way through, adding another season might have messed up the flow of the story.

Networks don't do cliffhangers. Uncaring creators do. They use it as a tactic agianst the networks. Anytime you see a cliffhanger season endear just imagine all the writers, producers, and directors spitting in your face, because that is what they want to do.

It's a bit shame. I liked the show. But at lease it wasn't a huge cliffhanger, if I remember correctly.
And I'm looking forward to the day networks stop with the cliffhanger theme. If the show is any good, people will return without a cliffhanger...
