HBO announced today that Somebody Somewhere has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes just three episodes into the comedy's freshman run, which already garnering high praise from critics.
The series stars comedian Bridget Everett as Sam, who appears to be a true Kansan but beneath it all has a hard time fitting the hometown mold. As she grapples with loss and acceptance, singing becomes her saving grace, which leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders.
Somebody Somewhere is freaking out right now because it got renewed for season 2.

Duplass brothers.... they do well with writing a bunch of "awkward moments" and then stringing them together to form some sort of show executives will purchase. But they are REALLY poor when it comes to actually having a PLOT. This show is no different... a bunch of disconnected awkward moments, but no real driving plot overall.
