More episodes of the 'Yellowstone' prequel are on the way.
February 22, 2022
Paramount+ has announced that additional episodes have been ordered for 1883. The 'Yellowstone' prequel premiered two months ago with a 10-episode run that wraps up this Sunday.
The western drama follows the Dutton family as they embark on an epic journey west through the Great Plains toward Montana, the last bastion of untamed America, seeking a better future.
While the new episodes promise more 1883 is coming, the network has not officially called it a second season. It is yet to be confirmed if the new episodes ordered will amount to a new season or if they will be added as a 'second-half' of Season 1.

I am really pissed about ending the show with such a promising and interesting character as Elsa. I wanted to see her future and live in this man-driven environment - there where so many interesting storylines which could have been followed... Why? Didn´t the showmakers knew that they had a pearl of a way much bigger story in there hands?

Isabel May could be the female version of Sam Elliot in years to come, if she wants it!
I've been around real horsemen a good bit of my life, and that gal has captured the look. Where the horse becomes an extension of your body. Not something you have to work at when you are doing the work at hand.

Bass Reeves is the other show.

The show runner has said he will not continue the show 1883. Instead they are putting out the next installment which is 1932 so basically a whole new show.

This show is very popular. I can see the financial reason to make more episodes but the way it ended was so perfect that adding to the story will only diminish the artistic vision. And add in the fact that two of the MAJOR characters won't be returning, I think they're making a big mistake.

I don't pay, I get it through my firestick.

Only having seen the two free episodes, multiple times, I may have to break down and order Paramount+. Great stuff. Sam Elliot is awesome !!!!!

First of all, fantastic show, Taylor Sheridan knows how to make ‘em. People complaining about streaming services, just cut the cord, get what you want, watch what you want, when you want, all ad-free if you choose, and if you do it right you might save a buck if that’s your preference.

This is a very powerful show. As an added plus, the series pulls in some name star cameos every now and then. I'm glad it's being renewed.
