More episodes of the 'Yellowstone' prequel are on the way.
February 22, 2022
Paramount+ has announced that additional episodes have been ordered for 1883. The 'Yellowstone' prequel premiered two months ago with a 10-episode run that wraps up this Sunday.
The western drama follows the Dutton family as they embark on an epic journey west through the Great Plains toward Montana, the last bastion of untamed America, seeking a better future.
While the new episodes promise more 1883 is coming, the network has not officially called it a second season. It is yet to be confirmed if the new episodes ordered will amount to a new season or if they will be added as a 'second-half' of Season 1.

I do think it was pretty shitty of Paramount to air only the first two episodes on standard cable TV, then yank it to ONLY Paramount+ for the rest of the season. I've managed to catch them anyway.. but that's a terrible thing to do to viewers 'cuz ya want their $7/month (or whatever it is). It's frankly ridiculous that all these per-channel streaming services are all an additional monthly charge.
Anyway... great show.. although a tad pretentious in the writing at times. Solid performances though. Will blow up Isabel May's career for certain.
