ABC announced today that Abbott Elementary has been picked up for a second season. Coming nine episodes into its freshman run, the good news follows a strong start for the workplace comedy. Since its December premiere, the show has garnered high critical praise and ratings that rank it as one of TV's top comedies.
The half-hour series follows a group of passionate teachers, along with their slightly tone-deaf principal, doing their best to help their students succeed at a Philadelphia public school. Outnumbered and underfunded, these dedicated educators still love their jobs, even if the school district has a less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.
Look for Season 2 of Abbott Elementary this fall as part of the 2022-2023 season.

Easily one of the best sitcoms on TV today. It's like "The Office" moved to your grade school. It could become a classic.

I have been enjoying this show so far. This is only second to Ghost for being my favorite show right now. Glad it got renewed!

Awesome! I really like this show especially its use of the mockumentary format made famous by "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation".

Great news! It's not my favorite show but it's watchable and I'm glad it's coming back.
