'Abbott Elementary' Renewed For Season 4

The primary school comedy scores an early pickup.

ABC has renewed Abbott Elementary for a fourth season. Star William Stanford Davis, who plays Mr. Johnson, made the announcement today at Disney's Television Critics Association Press Tour. It's another early pickup for the workplace comedy, coming just three days after its Season 3 premiere.

The half-hour series follows a group of passionate teachers, along with their slightly tone-deaf principal, doing their best to help their students succeed at a Philadelphia public school. Outnumbered and underfunded, these dedicated educators still love their jobs, even if the school district has a less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.

Look for Season 4 of Abbott Elementary this fall as part of the 2024-2025 season.

Great news!! This show is so good and I would have been saddened to hear it was canceled. The Wonder Years was a very good remake (and I hate remakes!!) and it was canceled so I was worried!

Great show! I have a cousin who works as an elementary school teacher in Philly and it’s cool seeing a show set there. I love the whole cast. Every character brings something funny to the ensemble.

The best comedy on network TV right now. Which isn’t a high bar, but this show is genuinely great.
