The 'Sex and the City' sequel is returning for Season 2.

HBO Max announced today that And Just Like That has been picked up for a second season. The news comes less than two months after the dramedy wrapped its 10-episode freshman run.
The renewal is a bit of a surprise, as the show was initially billed as a limited series. Strong viewership seems to have changed the streamer's mind, as the show became the most-viewed original series in the outlet's history.
A sequel to HBO's popular 'Sex and the City' series, And Just Like That catches up with Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they continue to navigate the complicated journey of love, life, and friendship in their 50s.

I gave up after about 4 episodes. It spent too much effort on giving us a "message", and less on the sharp pointed comedy that made the original series. Yes, I get it, we all have to change as we get older, but at times it was even dreary.

I can only assume the people in charge of renewing this series never actually watched one of the episodes.

hmmm, to be honest I wasn't a huge fan of this revival. I love the original series and the movies are ok. I just felt like this was missing its charm and snappy humor. And I miss Samantha. I'll tune in and see what happens next because I'm a sucker, but I hope the second outing is a bit stronger!
