BET announced today that Tyler Perry's The Oval has been picked up for a fourth season. The news comes just hours before tonight's Season 3 finale, which caps another successful run that saw the drama rank as the #2 cable series among African American audiences with an average of 1.3 million viewers in Live+3.

The Oval follows Hunter Franklin, who has just been elected President of the United States thanks to help from certain influential people. As he and his seemingly-perfect family move into their new residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., it is not long before they shake things up, affecting the lives of the staff who focus on the inner workings of the nation's most iconic residence.

Season 4 of The Oval will begin production this spring at Tyler Perry Studios.
