The Korean drama will return for a second season.

Apple TV+ announced today that Pachinko has been renewed for Season 2. The good news comes the same day the drama wraps its freshman run, which garnered high critical praise across the board.
Based on the novel of the same name by Min Jin Lee, the sweeping saga follows the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family across four generations. What starts as a story of forbidden love becomes a journey where the family leaves their homeland in a quest to survive and thrive.
A sweeping tale too epic for just one season.

Wonderful news! It’s a fantastic book that’s been turned into a fantastic show. And it’s been great being able to watch this in Japan with my family, as sad as it is seeing the suffering Koreans have experienced over the last century.
All my love to the Korean people around the world, whether they’re living in Korea, Japan, or somewhere else!
