Netflix announced today that British series Heartstopper has been renewed through Season 3. The multi-season order comes a month after the drama released its 8-episode freshman run, which has been garnering high critical praise across the board.
The renewal is a no-brainer considering the show's strong start. Since its release, Heartstopper has reached the streaming service's Top Ten list in 54 countries. Add to that, stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke have both seen their Instagram followings skyrocket by millions since the show's April premiere.
Based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, the half-hour series follows Charlie and Nick are two teenagers who discover their unlikely friendship might be something more. Along with their circle of friends, the two must navigate the journey of self discovery and acceptance while supporting each other as they find their authentic selves.
