Reelz announced today that a new iteration of A&E's popular Live PD reality series is on the way. Set for a premiere sometime this summer, the new show will be titled On Patrol: Live and will air exclusively on Reelz. Returning as host will be Dan Abrams, with episodes scheduled to air live on Friday and Saturday nights from 9:00pm to 12:00am.

Like Live PD, the series will capture the patrols of a variety of America's busiest police forces in urban and rural communities. Audiences get insight about the events in real time during a typical night's work using a mix of dash cams, fixed rig, and handheld cameras. There will also be citizen ride-alongs, where local residents from selected communities get a first-hand perspective on the action.
