No Season 3 for the streaming comedy.

It is being reported that Hulu has cancelled Woke after two seasons. The news comes two months after the comedy released its sophomore run, which returned with another 8 episodes in April.
Based on the life of artist Keith Knight, the half-hour series follows up-and-coming African-American cartoonist Keef. When an unexpected incident causes him to see the world in a whole new light, Keef is left to face new voices and ideas that challenge him - all without destroying everything he's already built.

Jose, a couple of things :
You're* and borders*
The term "woke" has to do with awareness; and if you truly only saw people in terms of Nationality, it would simply make you jingoistic or nationalist. Most people align with others who agree with them, how are you any different?

Being "woke" is racist, if you think about it people who identify as woke only hang around people who are the same as themselves so essentially woke people are all for segregation, people who are truly not racist would never identify as woke, all I see is Americans, doesn't matter who or what you are as long as your a legal citizen of this country. A country without boarders isn't a county at all.

Plop. no one white had anything against open North American borders when mainly white people were emigrating. THAT'S why people of color will point out your hypocrisy. If you ARE indeed transphobic, that might be something to look in the mirror for. Can you cite an example of "going too far" with wanting equal rights for all people? To your point, branding does go a long way, and you may be right about the title, but being "woke" is not a term about being "nice," it's about being aware, and some people just aren't comfortable facing things like that.
This show will just go on in another form and will again offend those who would otherwise bury their heads in the sand.

Brenda, they always will. Every time a show gets cancelled for WHATEVER the reason, if they disagree with it politically , they feel vindicated. It's better they stay armchair rather than act out like Buffalo, but still....

No, Pat, the term woke has nothing at all to do with Marxism, the left, or math. You can't cite a single example to support your position, and you're not a liberal.

No mark ,wokism is not what you say. It is a leftist marxist movement. That is about equity, no one should make more than anyone else or suceed more , which means that you cancel out things like advanced math. Because it is not fair to those who cannot do it supposedly. It means cancelling people for having any but the most radical of leftist views. So even a liberal like me is not radical enough. Wokism is tainted with stereotypes of minorities as only victims who need leftists to take care of them. That they are not responsible for their own actions even , It is counterproductive to change.

To be fair.. Selfie flopped because the writing was bad..... And Jane whats-her-name is not a great actress. Her best role was on Shameless — but she, understandably, left that show when asked to do nudity. (Yeah I know she did the musical Zoey's Playlist too.. which only stuck around for 2 seasons due to the musical aspect.) But I don't disagree with the point.

Nothing wrong with being against racism and social injustice. The issue people have with 'woke' is that a lot of people take it too far. There must be a trans in every show or if someone identifies as a woman they can compete in women's sports now and nobody can say anything about it or they are transaphobe. Or if you don't support open borders you are bigoted against brown people. If it was simply "everyone be nice to everyone" then most people wouldn't have a problem with it. The issue is woke agenda is taken to the extreme. So most people don't want to even consider watching a show called Woke regardless of the actual premise.
Can somewhat compare it to that show 'Selfie'. Everyone was tired of hearing that word then they made a show with that name. It had two popular cast members but still flopped because nobody wants to watch a show of that name.

The first person to bring up racism is the racist!

Hey Joe.. I'd disagree. Season 2 was all about how to placate the "woke" crowd, even if you don't necessarily agree with it. So while not directly supportive of the "woke" culture, it came across that not buying into "woke" meant someone was wrong... it's not like season one.
